Why is textmate getting slower and slower?
The last weeks developing my new website mysedcard.tv I recognized textmate getting slower and slower. The worst symptom was cpu usage of almost 100% while putting the focus back to textmate from e.g. firefox or any other application. In the very beginning I said to myself “uhm … it’s because of my bad installation, so just leave it” but the I started googling around and found a helpful blog post.
It turned out that my logfiles, asset files and my .git folder were the reasons why textmate need some seconds to get ready.
So just find out what’s the problem in your case and exclude these files or folders …
